Healthy Breakfast Yogurt Pops

Healthy Breakfast Yogurt Pops
So this is our first post on our new food blog! Very excited!

This morning Maddy and I created a new 'breakfast yogurt pops' recipe and the good news is, it's nice and healthy!!! Our favourite meal of the day is definitely breakfast and as you have probably heard many times, the most important meal too! This recipe doesn't require much skill at all and is very easy! But DON'T make it right before you want to eat it, because it needs to be frozen in the freezer first. Although, it would still be super yum if it wasn't frozen.

If you are a lover of muesli and yogurt, this is definitely the dish for you because it is an interesting and delicious version! It is composed of oats, cinnamon (not in the image), maple syrup, vanilla yogurt, strawberries, blueberries and a little bit of brown sugar! You could also add in some dried fruit if you want too :)

Healthy Breakfast Yogurt Pops
Makes 4 Pops, in plastic cups.
Prep time: 10 minutes
Freezing time: 5 hours

Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats
1 tsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbs. golden syrup
1 cup vanilla yogurt (approx.)
4 strawberries
1 punnet of blueberries

Method:
1. Place rolled oats, cinnamon and sugar in a heated non-stick frying pan (low heat).
2. Once oats have begun to brown and have become fragrant add golden syrup and wait until the oats have absorbed it all. Remove from heat.
3. Place one tablespoon of yogurt into the bottom of each cup, followed by half a tablespoon of toasted oats.
4. Next, add chopped up fruit and continue to add yogurt and oats until the cup is almost full.
5. Place a stick into the top of each cup so that it is firmly in place.
6. Place in freezer for 5 hours or until yogurt is frozen.
7. Once frozen, remove from cup and enjoy!

And voila! They are done! These breakfast pops are super yum and easy and we would highly recommend them to anyone who is open for a fun and creative way to have breakfast. So give them a try and let us know what you think :)

Keep cooking, Twins in the Kitchen.
